I don't see anything wrong with it in this case. EA must've shown interest in the first place, but required the songs to be toned down to keep their own rating for Madden. It wasn't like Senses Fail were sitting in a room writing a separate PG version incase EA gave them a call one day.
If I was in a band and the developers of a game played by millions upon millions of people asked me to change a few words for a specific video game only version of a song, I'd jump on that shit.
