Seriously. These guys didn't disappoint.

This album has about zero anticipation anywhere from what I've seen.

They now do nothing to separate themselves from the traditional rap-scene with the exception of maybe three songs on this new album.

Not true, at this point it's personally my most anticipated of the year, very disappointed in Jack's Mannequin which was originally my most anticipated.

Travis is a sick lyricist and this album so far represents a much harder side of him. I love the old albums as much as everyone else (nothing will replace For The Kids) but I think The Quilt will really blow people away. It's definitely more hip hop but I think that's the right direction for them and I imagine the live band still stays pretty active, they certainly did at Warped.

Agreed. And listening to the sampler does nothing to make me anticipate it anymore.

I am still extremely unsure on how I feel about how the sound has evolved.

Where exactly do you "look" for anticipation? That's pretty silly, there's been a lot of hype and talk about this album. Personally, it's one of my most anticipated for the year.

Especially after just listening to the sampler. Sounds awesome.

Edit: The song featuring Lil Wayne is fucking hot.

It sounds pretty alright, I think.

not a fan of single. samplers are just annoying. hoping this albums better than this single of theirs....

I have mixed feelings on this release. But I will be picking it up when it comes out because I am sure there are some hidden gems that you just have to listen to all the way through to appreciate. I have to say it was a little crazy to hear "Cookie Jar" on the radio today. They are definitely transitioning from some band that's "too much rock to be rap," and vice versa to some sort of mainstream something.

I agree that this album has not had much promotion surrounding it. The only time I have heard about it is in myspace bulletins from the band, the occasional news feed here, and the shot outs they've done at Warped and the WalMart exclusive campus concert they did.
