What this song and video says to me is, 'We're a band with very few ideas of our own.'

Although I'm sure many people will find it funny, a satirical video will never change the fact that it's still mediocre pop music, which serves little to no purpose other than inspiring budding musicians to be mediocre as well. This is why the pop/punk/rock music scene of today is so terrible. When crap is the only basis for inspiration, then crap is what you'll keep getting.
