pretty much agree with the whole review. the record is short of a few really memorable songs but has enough to succeed. the lyrics have more substance than any of these other "pop-punk torch bearers" could ever dream about. overall, very solid considering it's a debut record. one of my top 3 records all year.
from what i hear on myspace, these guys are pretty good. sound a lot like All Time Low, which is not a bad thing, cuz i love ATL. i totally agree that they could definitely have benefited from a lighter touch in the production department.
Are we listening to the same record? This isn't reminding me of Say It Like You Mean It or TTTYG by any means. The All Time Low comparisons are spot on. Still, All Time Low definitely belong to that "new school" of pop-punk bands--all pop, no bite.
Funny the reviewer said Say It Like You Mean It had a lack of production? That shit was overproduced like hell.
