Sweatshirt Weather

I couldn't help but click on their thread in the Self Promotion forum because they were advertising themselves as a band that sounds like the Postal Service, which I love. I was not disappointed. The music is so upbeat, it made me wish I had the lyrics to their songs so that I could sing along. Such fun pop electronic music that anyone can enjoy, especially pop punk fans. Yes, pop punk fans. The vocals on "Escapade" are very similar to the ones that you would hear in a pop punk band, except these guys are making them blend in beautifully with electronic music. It's no surprise, as both band members have played in various bands before. They are now taking their music in a new direction and are being influenced by indie electronic bands like The Postal Service in more than just one way: they live away from each other, so their music is recorded in the same fashion that Ben Gibbard (of
Death Cab For Cutie) and Jimmy Tamborello (of
Dntel and
Figurine) recorded theirs for The Postal Service. I think they have the potential to be something, so help make that happen by
checking them out!
If you enjoy bands such as Immoor, The Postal Service, or anything else that's catchy and upbeat, I would recommend checking them out.
My favourite tracks are "Fall And 106" followed by "Escapade."
