Well, seeing as the album came out two years ago, it has certainly passed the longevity test for me! It is an album that YOU ABSOLUTLEY MUST SIT DOWN AND LISTEN TO ALL THE WAY THROUGH. To not do so would really ruin the experience for you.

I remember when i listened to it the 2nd time through, everything just kinda clicked and suddenly this became one of my top 5 albums. Its such a breath of fresh air, and somehow the story has not gotten stale.

I think the fact that it is SO generic actually helps it. You can interpret it a little differently every time because it is so broad and generic, i hope that makes sense.

I agree with it you. It has in fact, stood the test of time. However it is still underrated which sucks.

This is definitely one of my favorite albums of all time. The musicianship is spectacular, the story is cohesive and meaningful, and interesting to boot, and the guest vocalists are all particularly wonderful in their own way, each embodying their role perfectly (I particularly enjoy Max Bemis' performance as Barayas the Spider). I'm a sucker for musicals, so to hear such an interesting one and in such a different format was a pleasant experience. As for the cheesy lyrics, aren't musicals supposed to be that way, if that's what Dutton was aiming for?
