I think when he got sacked by (I can't remember) and the guy "tebowed" (the knee prayer) and Tebow didn't get up in arms about it. He shook it off as no big deal made me think he wasn't too condescending. I mean, I get having issues with his anti-abortion ad and shit like that but otherwise he seems to be a pretty decent guy.
Like I said, he seems like a good person, but I don't like how public his faith is. I think that should be more of a personal thing, but that's just where my dislike started. Now, I watch him and just don't think he's a good player. He wins and I'll give him that, but I don't think he's someone who you can count on week in and week out for those wins. From what I've seen he gets a few good, big plays and the rest of the game is garbage, no consistency. But my thoughts don't really matter if he keeps winning, however ugly (very) it may be.
I don't think he does it on purpose, it just is off putting to me. I understand he's not going door to door handing out pamphlets but in my experience the people who talk about their faith the most are those trying to convert you. I get why he's liked/respected and I'm not trying to change any minds, just throwing out my opinion. That's all.
