This album is a HELL of a lot better than I was expecting after reading through the replies about it. I think people are too caught up in comparing it to the sound of their last album or hating the band in general.

The only critiques that I really see as reasonable is that the album is boring or trying to hard to be a mainstream (looking to hard for a radio hit?)

His voice sounds much better overall (more consistent) and the album is more diverse than their last one.

PS I'm not a fan of the single. That also caused me to has extremely low expectations for this.
