Wow - actually a solid list. I don't think Radiohead belongs on there cause, um, woof - Pablo Honey is their weakest effort as a band and the album doesn't work so well by itself.

But nice to see Arcade Fire, Tori Amos, Smashing Pumpkins, and Postal Service get some recognition for killer debuts

i hate lists like this. they have almost no meaning because who ever compiled this list has heard less than 1% of all debut albums

And just personally, I think Destruction By Definition and Goddamnit! are my favorite debuts, regardless on how much of musical impact they have had in the grand scheme of the tastes of music critics.

Glad wu tang is on there and I love the arcade fire but come onnnnn it shouldnt be that high. notorious big should be higher. On Avery Island by Neutral Milk hotel should be on there.

If you think like that, there won't ever be a single list with "meaning". The point of doing that is to list the best debuts not only for the music they brought in, but those who changed music in a way or another.
