Almost through reading Sloosha's Crossin' right now, and while I realize the author's technical ability in this part, I get absolutely no enjoyment out of it. It's like reading a foreign language for seventy pages.

Just read this a month or two ago. Best book I've read in a long time. Will check out the film, but I'm afraid they won't be able to do it justice. I don't usually mind film adaptations of books, but this is such a complex, interlocking story that it's going to be really tough to get it right.
