PLAIN WHITE T’S ANNOUNCE
“THREE PART HARMONY: A SHOW IN 3 ACTS”
SPRING HEADLINING TOUR

SHOW WILL FEATURE THREE ACTS:
ROCK, ACOUSTIC AND MEDLEY OF FAN FAVORITES
TOUR BEGINS MARCH 12 IN CLEVELAND
Plain White T’s have announced a special spring headlining run dubbed the “Three Part Harmony: A Show in Three Acts”. The road jaunt will see the Chicago-based quintet delivering a show in three acts: Act 1: Rock, Act 2: Acoustic and Act 3: Medley of fan favorites. The tour begins March 12 in Cleveland at House of Blues.

“We wanted to present our music in way that we’ve never done before,” says Tom Higgenson, lead singer for the Ts. “Our longtime fans know us mostly for our rock songs, and our new fans know us mostly for our acoustic songs, so we wanted to bring everyone together and give all our fans a different way to experience our music live.”
The band is touring in support of new album BIG BAD WORLD and hit single “1,2,3,4,” a track whose companion video is becoming an Internet phenomenon. The video is in the top ten at VH1 Countdown and is in heavy rotation at MTV, Fuse, MTV Hits and MTVU. “1,2,3,4” is currently in the top 15 at Hot AC and is the fastest growing single at the format. The band will perform “1,2,3,4” on The Bonnie Hunt Show March 6th.
Shot in 18-degree weather, the video, which can be seen www.plainwhitets.com/1234, follows Higgenson around his hometown of Chicago as he busks for passing couples. Captions identify each couple, along with tidbits about how and when they met. “We were armed with only a camera and a guitar,” says Higgenson. “’1,2,3,4’ is a simple love song, so we wanted to capture various love stories throughout Chicago.”
And thanks to an innovative interactive version of the clip—created by digital media company HDgreetings—those stories are now spreading worldwide. This alternate version of the video allows fans to include their own photos and captions in the storyline. They can send their version of the video to a friend or they can share their videos and stories of love and friendship on the band’s website www.plainwhitets.com. To have personal photos and captions embedded into the clip, fans can go to www.plainwhitets.com/1234 or the band’s myspace page: www.myspace.com/plainwhitets then click on the link to customize the clip.
The Plain White T’s also had a chance to stop by to record an exclusive Daytrotter Session recently. Fans can hear the session and download a free version of the band’s “A Lonely September”, from their album STOP, and the cover of the 1961 hit “Runaway” at: http://daytrotter.com/article/1598/plain-white-ts.

If it came near me and I had the money I would leave during the acoustic part. I hate that they sold out and wrote another "Hey, There Delilah."

i remember seeing less than jake a couple years ago, and they did almost this same thing.. except they didn't make a big deal out of it as an attempt to get kids to come to the show. at one point also, they brought out a giant wheel like in "the price is right", and had fans come onto the stage to spin. whatever album art it landed on, they'd play a couple songs from it.
