What does the Señor and the Queen EP sound like in comparison to the 59 Sound and Sink or Swim? I've been meaning to get it, but for some reason, four songs just doesn't seem worth $13.

I'm more than positive that these guys are coming near me to play with Frank Turner. It's going to be one of my biggest regrets not going.

I love Sink or Swim more than I do The 59 Sound. My favorite track is either "We Came to Dance" or "We're Getting A Divorce, You Keep the Diner."

Flogging Molly and The Gaslight Anthem would be awesome. Isn't that suppose to happen next year?

No new sounds because of early live recordings? I don't quite see the logic in that. Wouldn't you want your music to be heard?

But it's good to hear that they're working on the songs. Maybe they'll change their mind soon.

Covering Tom Petty, good move. I'm going to have to go look on youtube for that. But what did the new song sound like? In vein or Sink or Swim, The 59 Sound or something new?

There are no names and none of the old stuff.

No more songs about Maria? I sort of liked that.

Can someone explain to me why people say the Arcade Fire, the Killers and the Gaslight Anthem all sound the same? I don't see it. However, I do see a similar to The Replacements' song "Alex Chilton."

I collect CD's as a hobby, and I've been meaning to pick up Senor and the Queen for a while now. But most places I check it's 15-20 dollars because it's still new. Is it really worth that much or is getting it on iTunes for 4 bucks a better deal?

it's a solid EP. i love it, but i don't think it's worth paying that much. haha. If you wanna do mail order, No Idea has the CD for only 5.50 - way better deal there.

they have tons of free stuff available in their distro - CDs, samplers, zines, add those to your order to get more bang for your buck!

This site is such a gem. Thanks!

Wait, there's a Gaslight song that sounds like "Alex Chilton"?!?!

I believe that the Replacement's song "Alex Chilton" and the Gaslight Anthem have a similar sound. Both remind me of Bruce Springsteen in some ways.

I consider The Gaslight Anthem one of my favorite bands and am not that into Bruce Springsteen (I have only The Greatest Hits CD that I listen to on rare occasion.) Would that count?

Probably not cause I've been meaning to get more of his music to see if I would agree with "Springsteen is God."
