yeah, i think "1930" is definitely my favorite song off sink or swim.

love it.

Probably my favorite song in general.

Does anyone have set lists for this tour they are on? I'm not positive if it started or not. I have tickets for the Pittsburgh date at the end of the month.

also, their singer was really awkward (ala Jesse Lacey) to talk to.

What all did they play?

Just got home from the show, the setlist went:
great expectations
high lonesome
old white lincoln
even cowgirls get the blues
we came to dance
59 sound
patient ferris wheel
left of the dial
miles davis and the cool
film noir
navesink banks
boomboxes and dictionaries
here's lookin at you kid
backseats
ida called you woody, joe
casanova,baby

not a lot of people there since uf was on spring break but fake problems was good and gaslight anthem put on a great show.

Thanks man. I'm seeing them at the end of the month. I hope they play 1930.

Do you possibly have a Fake Problems set list as well?

I wonder if they're doing "Left Of The Dial" for the American Steel split?

I'm obviously behind. What is this split?

It appears as though American Slang is going to be more of a low key record. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet.

Just as I thought I would think. It's a bit too overproduced with the vocals being layered over top. Not that I dislike it, I'm sure I'll listen too it a good bit. I'm just critical as they are one of my favorite bands.

I think an argument can be made that the musicianship improves per album but American Slang and Handwritten weren't really my thing. But with that said, I think The '59 Sound almost (or it may have) changed my life. So this is no dig on American Slang or Handwritten. I personally set the bar real high for their next coming releases after '59 and they just never really recaptured what I feel / felt about the band.

Since we've all been talking about Track Flow in this thread and the album thread, I thought I'd put in my (nerdy) two cents.

I would of went :

1. Stay Vicious
2. Rollin and Tumblin'
3. Helter Skeleton
4. Halloween
5. Get Hurt
6. 1,000 Years
7. Stray Paper
8. Underneath The Ground
9. Ain't That A Shame
10. Selected Poems
11. Dark Places
12. Have Mercy

Still not positive about the last 3-4 tracks but just off the top of my head. Maybe put Dark Places after Ain't That A Shame?
