Myspace is blocked. Thankfully, AP isn't. I was browsing the site first period and I think some girls caught me because I heard in the back of the room.."absolutepunk..*giggles*". Yeah, so? Swallow a knife. Hate this fucking school.

addictinggames.com

the only website you'll ever need at school

Never blocked at my high school

I once played Minecraft in-browser on a school computer because we were in the computer lab for a project I had already finished. Good times.

Lmao, hella old thread. My high school had mainly social networking sites blocked, and some game sites, and the usual "bad" sites, but I don't remember what they were. Then they starting blocking ridiculous sites. Eventually the school got this "watch" system on the computers and the teacher/librarian can view everything you're doing on your computer, they can even log you out of websites and totally log you out of the computer and block you from logging back in. I remember trying to get around blocked sites like freshman year or whatever, but they blocked those sites too. I managed to go on message boards though, but it's like every few pages I go on, I get logged out and have to keep logging in again. It was annoying.

Sure all the PC's are blocked and the 3G sucks, but the new Macs are completely unblocked and when Photography comes along I could use a Facebook break.

The Internet at my school before I graduated had blocks, but were easily avoidable, hackable, and bypassable. avoidable and bypassbale by proxies (Not recommended for anything that you have a personal life on like Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc, but games sites and those types.) Plus, our school, whenever you type a site into the laptop they give you for the year, it may pop up as blocked, but you look at the lower right corner and it say: "Continue to Site (Not Recommended);" What good is a block if you can pass that block by the program itself? Best part is, they never changed it until I graduated and they got new laptops. Class of 2011 was/is fucking awesome.
