Paramore - The Final Riot! [CD/DVD]
Record Label: Fueled By Ramen
Release Date: November 24, 2008
The scene's favorite female fronted band is back with a live CD/DVD, The Final Riot!, which was filmed on August 12th, 2008 in Chicago, Illinois. While some people may criticize Paramore as an average pop rock band with a “hot” singer, this DVD shows the truth rather than those skin deep judgments.
If The Final Riot! is glimpse of how Paramore perform every night than they certainly know how to bring their "A" game when it comes to a live show. The concert starts with guitarist Josh Farro playing the quick riff of “Born For This” while every other member joins in one by one until they break into the song. At this moment you know what you are going to get for the rest of the show, and the Chicago crowd is just about as good as it gets for a live show. “That’s What You Get” shows this as the crowd's echo of the chorus fills the whole arena. As for the visual aspect, everything is top notch. There are various camera angles, great lighting, and a bunch of touch effects tossed on top of the footage to give it an extra kick. Even if you aren’t a fan of the band this release will give you a whole new respect for them and what they do.
The Final Riot! also documents the rise of Hayley Williams. I have seen only a handful of singers that are able to control a crowd like she does. You can’t help but be drawn in by Williams’ raw emotion. Her vocal range and control are astonishing for such a young singer. There are points in the performance when she will send chills down your spine (“We are Broken”) and will make you want to jump around uncontrollably (“Misery Business”). What she really does is cement her spot as one of the most talented and upcoming singers in the music scene today.
The Final Riot! mixes in multiple clips of the band and interviews between songs to give you some insight into what it's like being in the band and how they spend some of their time off. All in all it’s a great live album that covers the majority of the band's material and is a great place to start for people who have never heard of Paramore. If you haven’t jumped on the bandwagon yet, now is a good time to start, because I doubt this is the band's last riot.
i kind of like paramore buts its mostly because of that hot lead singer. some of the songs are awesome and really exciting while the others are just boring. maybe if these guys( and girl) stick around for a while they can make something that will blow me away
Very good review. She's a great singer and they're great musicians, but I just can't listen to them for very long for some reason. I can't explain it, I listen to them, then jump to another artist and forget about them for a couple of months.
I have the CD, which is awful, as far as professional live perfomances/recordings go. Do you have the DVD? Maybe the DVD is better. Oh, and I do like Paramore

So you downloaded it is what your saying? Because the dvd comes with the cd. The show is awesome as far as music dvd's go. Check out Park's last show to see them butcher a music dvd. I had such high hopes for that and it killed me. Even PATD's dvd sucks compared to this one. This is a solid show.

Fair enough, although the manner of your comparison to PATD is laughable.
