Don't need much but the headline here. Happy Friday!
Since, cash is at a low, and my tears are at a high, I'm trading a water-bottle filled with my own tears for a ticket to go see American Football. These tears are 100% authentic, and are produced from myself by listening to only American Football and other Mike Kinsella projects (Owen, Joan of Arc, Their / They're / There, Owls, Cap N' Jazz etc.) Serious inquiries only.

American Football have added a second New York date to their upcoming shows. Dates in the replies.
Jason Tate on 04/25/14 - 10:45 AM
American Football has reunited and will be playing two shows this fall: one on Sept. 28 in Urbana-Champaign, IL, at the Pygmalion Music Festival, and one on Oct. 11 at New York City's Webster Hall. To recap: this is what the website countdown was leading to, the repress of their self-titled LP is up for preorder now, and the band has an old/new song streaming now.
"Obviously, we knew the time was ripe for three middle aged dudes to play some old songs about teenage feelings, and stand around tuning guitars for a long time." - guitarist Steve Holmes

Check the replies to stream "The 7's" from American Football, one of the first songs the band ever wrote.
The song was among the very first we wrote (and uses another alternate tuning we only utilized once elsewhere: EBD#EBE). It also used to be our standard set closer until we wrote “Stay Home” and dropped it from the set. We briefly considered recording this for the album, but we ran out of time in the studio, and we weren’t sure that it really fit in with the other songs we had on the record.

It's cold, windy, pouring rain and once this storm front passes through, it will drop to winter coats and chilly nights. I've decided to leave my bed only to take out my copy of American Football's self-titled and let its tracks flood my small apartment while I work a bit. In Urbana, Illinois, guitarist/bassist/vocalist Mike Kinsella, guitarist Steve Holmes and drummer Steve Lamos painted a picture that was worthy of gracing the roof of a chapel, landscaped in horns, easy drumming and guitar lines that carried the listener through. The band only released one full-length and one EP, and Mike Kinsella has since moved on to his solo project as Owen, but checking out Owen's latest discs, At...
