In the latest issue of Rolling Stone (Issue 1081) Conor Oberst confirms that he plans to record one final album with Bright Eyes and then wants to retire the name.

Conor Oberst, Jim James, and M. Ward will be releasing an album under the supergroup name, Monsters of Folk. The band's self-titled album will drop in September.

Jim Ward will be playing the Barack Obama rally tomorrow at Slowdown in Omaha, NE. The show is free and Bright Eyes, Secret Life of Sparrows and M. Ward are also playing. Check the replies for info on how to get tickets.

Conor Oberst will be performing some shows in December under his own name rather than Bright Eyes and has plans to record a solo album with Jake Belows (Neva Dinova) and form a new band with M. Ward this winter.
