It's official, Daylight has changed their name to Superheaven.
Long story short, we legally cannot operate under the band name “Daylight” anymore. So we’re changing it. The music we write, the members we have, and the message we put forth remain unchanged. We will still perform any and all of the music we have written together up to this point.

We know it's April Fool's Day and all, but the band Daylight has apparently changed its name to Superheaven. Check out a listing from a North Carolina venue advertising a show with "Superheaven" opening for Nothing - the bio under the band name gives it away - which is part of a bigger tour. Nothing will play with Whirr, Pelican and Youth Code on select dates as well - all the tour dates are in the replies.

I caught up with producer/engineer Will Yip (Balance and Composure, Man Overboard, Anthony Green, Title Fight ) after the inaugural Studio 4 Session last week. We talked about how he balances work with his personal life and how the Studio 4 sound stacks up against Sound City. Off The Board: A Studio 4 Family Compilation is set to release October 8th.
Right now, I have the chance to make the coolest music with my best friends, and I'm lucky. Why would I not do that every second I can?

Dropping Daylight have a new record titled Brace Yourself in stores today via Octone Records. They haven't really gotten much AP.net exposure, so I wanted to make sure everyone was aware of the album's release. You can check out some songs from the record on their MySpace page. The album is available at Tower for only $7.99!
