| | | | | | | | | | | | Patrick Stump wrote a blog reflecting on the 10th anniversary of Fall Out Boy's Take This to Your Grave.
Ten years ago today, my band released our debut album Take This To Your Grave. We were just four unsuspecting Midwestern nerds named after a moderately obscure Simpsons character, living life like the background characters in Ferris Bueller’s Day Off. We were totally unprepared for everything that followed.
Up to that point in the band’s history, we were merely something to do before we were forced to give in to the pressures of real life. | | | | | | | | | | | | Fall Out Boy's Save Rock and Roll debuted at #2 in the UK this week. This is the band’s best U.K. album showing to date, ahead of the #3 peak of 2007’s Infinity High. Their 2008 album, Folie a Deux, peaked at #39. | | | Jason Tate on 04/22/13 - 10:52 AM | 18 Replies -
| | | | | | | | | | | | RollingStone's article on the return of Fall Out Boy is now online.
Folie à Deux was intended to be a commentary about the narcissism of American culture, but frontman Patrick Stump feels it didn't quite work. "I think a lot of that last record cycle was my fault," he says. "I had an actual dream about what the record should sound like. I tried to make that happen, but nobody was with me. I was trying to push my agenda, and that was a weird thing to do." | | | Jason Tate on 04/18/13 - 03:22 PM | 130 Replies -

| | | | | | | | | | | | Pete ( Fall Out Boy) updated his blog with some more information about the band's choice for their new album cover and a plea not to pit the band members against each other (cough* NeonChrist*cough).
1. if you are a fan of this band- please don’t pit us against each other. however you feel about patrick i feel it x a million. that was one of the things that led to us taking time off- we felt as though some of the base and media pit us against each other. were a team. we fight for the user.
