Paper + Plastick Records has released today a very special edition of Story/Song. The newest episode of the comic series, which made its debut recently featuring Flatfoot 56, highlights the music of the late Tony Sly. Paper + Plastick Records has launched a new comic book series called Story/Song where an artist and writer create a story that is inspired by a song. The song for the first release is "6'10" by Flatfoot 56. The comic book is available in their webstore for $1 digitally and $5 physically. The next release will feature the music of No Use For A Name as performed by The Swellers in honor of Tony Sly.
Flatfoot 56 has launched vinyl and CD preorders for its new album, Toil. There is also a three-song album preview that you can stream in the replies, which includes the never-before-heard title track. The album drops on July 24, but all preorders come with a digital download. The big package comes with a "baseball vinyl" and a customized baseball jersey where you can have whatever you want printed on the name on the back.

Flatfoot 56will release a brand-new full-length on Paper + Plastick Records in early 2012. A free song, a cover of an old folk/gospel song called "I'll Fly Away" by Albert E. Brumley, can be downloaded here. The song is not from the upcoming full-length.
