Revealed through The Jasta Show, a music podcast hosted by Hatebreed vocalist Jamey Jasta, For Today vocalist Mattie Montgomery has revealed the band's sixth full-length album will be titled Wake, set for a fall release via Razor & Tie. The album was produced and mixed by Will Putney at The Machine Shop in New Jersey.

I was told that I was unequally yoked with the band because of my personal beliefs of how I should live my life after coming to know Jesus. For this reason, the band could no longer support me or walk with me on this path. (To be clear about this, for those who care, my personal belief is simply that a standard of living our lives after salvation has been set by God in the “Old Testament” law. Not for salvation but for living a life in service to God.)
MetalInjection posted an article today that highlighted a blog post from For Today's frontman, Mattie Montgomery, that sort of contains an apology to the LBGT community ... then a lot of talking about marriage within the church. After yesterday's comments by For Today guitarist Mike Reynolds, he has decided to leave the band in pursuits of Bible college with his wife. A statement from vocalist Mattie Montgomery can be viewed in the replies.

Update: Futhermore, Stick To Your Guns drummer George Schmitz has stated that the band will never tour with For Today ever again. You might recall Stick To Your Guns supporting For Today on the band's "Fight The Silence" headliner in 2012. - JD
