For the band's 21st birthday, Hanson have created their own beer, Mmmhops. The beer will be available on the band's fall tour with the proceeds being donated to the Red Cross to aid in the Oklahoma tornado relief efforts.
Hanson recently helped pull together a 12 hour livestream with SXSW4Japan.org to raise money for Japan. Online donations have topped $100,000, and a much larger amount was directed straight to the American Red Cross via their national text donation number. Isaac Hanson, who recently was diagnosed with a pulmonary embolism, underwent life-saving surgery earlier today. The surgery was a success and Isaac is due to be released from the hospital on Friday and be back for Hanson's current The Walk Tour on October 8. The band is currently working to reschedule both canceled dates as a result of this event.
Isaac Hanson was sent to the hospital yesterday after complaining of severe pains in his shoulder and chest after a performance in Dallas.
