MUTEMATH are set to release their fourth album, Vitals, later this fall and lead singer Paul Meany was kind enough to talk about the record with us here. The band kicks off their headlining tour tonight with a performance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and a show in Los Angeles.
This record was really trying to find a way to look at all the songs we’ve written, all the records we have done, and find a way to internally pay homage to all of that. MUTEMATH has long earned fans with its explosive live shows, and today it's about to gain a few more. We're proud to premiere "Allies", the newest video from the acclaimed Odd Soul, which is constructed from live and behind-the-scenes footage from past performances. Keyboardist Paul Meany tells AP.net exclusively: "We wrote 'Allies' specifically with the live show in mind, so we couldn't really see a video for this song any other way." Watch it in the replies.

Our interview with MUTEMATH can be found here.
From the InterviewWe imagined almost that the four guys who were going to play these shows were different guys than us and we were going to do them a big favor by creating music for them that they would have a blast with. We tried to make an album that was instantly fun to play live. That was intentional, but the fact that it took that guitarish turn was just because we got excited about it.
