Matchbook Romance's reunion shows start today with a somewhat surprise show at The Heirloom Theatre in Danbury, CT with Just Surrender. Their first hometown show in nearly 3 years will take place this Saturday at The Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie, NY. More info on both these shows can be found here.
Matchbook Romance have launched a new webstore to celebrate their reunion shows. The store includes many of their vintage shirts, which are available in limited quantities and will never be printed again, for only $10.
Since Activision's release of Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, which features Matchbook Romance's song "Monsters," sales of the digital single have skyrocketed. "Monsters" is currently averaging sales of over 5,500 digital copies per week since the game's release. Sales of the digital single have also driven album sales, which saw a significant increase since the games introduction.
The latest rumor is that Andrew Jordan (lead singer of Matchbook Romance) is getting back together with Ryan Kienle (bassist for MBR) and Amanda Rogers for a new musical project.
Judas will be playing his last show with Matchbook Romance this Friday December 22nd at the Chance in Poughkeepsie, NY with Men, Women, & Children and The Sleeping.
