Yahoo Music has posted an interesting take on the lack of parity between male and female winners on reality singing shows. Given that Dia Frampton (of Meg & Dia) wasn't able to pull off a win in the finals of NBC's The Voice earlier this week, what do you think? Dia Frampton (of Meg and Dia) is currently competing in the finals on The Voice. The winner will be announced tomorrow, but voting is now open. You can vote 10 times by each of three methods. You can call 1-855-864-2303, purchase the original song she performed, "Inventing Shadows," on iTunes (which is currently the #1 song on iTunes) or vote online. Check the replies for her performance of her new original "Inventing Shadows" as well.
Dia Frampton of Meg and Dia is currently participating on NBC's The Voice. She sang Colbie Caillat's "Bubbly" which you can see in the replies. After her performance, she decided to go with Blake Shelton as her coach.
Meg and Dia will be doing a small Hot Topic in-store tour where the first 30 fans who purchase their new record, Here, Here, and Here, or a Meg & Dia shirt will get to attend an acoustic show by the band, and those folks, as well as others who purchase the record or merch, will also be able to go to a Meg & Dia signing. Tomorrow night, Dustin Kensrue (Thrice) will perform a free solo acoustic show at University of California-Irvine, along with a set from Josh Moore. Jamie Tworkowski, founder of To Write Love on Her Arms, will be speaking at the event with a Q&A session to follow. On Wed., March 12th at 11 a.m., Jamie will also be speaking at Cal State Fullerton. Josh Moore and an acoustic Meg & Diaare set to play.
The Color Fred and Meg and Dia will be at the Loserkids store in San Marcos, CA on March 13 giving an acoustic performance to celebrate the release of their Studio Project Macbeth coming out. For more details, go to the replies.
