A Facebook campaign has been launched to get Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" to be this year's "Christmas Number 1" in the UK and in turn, prevent the winner of X Factor taking the "prize". A similar campaign was launched in 2009 which saw Rage Against The Machine's "Killing In The Name" become "Christmas Number 1".
Rage Against the Machine will be playing a show on September 3rd at the Target Center in Minneapolis during the Republican National Convention. It is not clear what, if any, political overtones the show will take on.

The third annual Vegoose Festival in Las Vegas has announced its initial lineup. The festival will take place October 27th and 28th at Sam Boyd Stadium and will feature headliners such as Rage Against The Machine, Daft Punk and Iggy And The Stooges (performing the entire album Fun House. In addition to the festival at the stadium, Vegoose will be hosting "Vegoose at Night," a series of separately ticketed indoor performances by acts such as The Shins, Thievery Corporation and more.
