We've confirmed in an interview (available in full next week on this very site) thatThe Get Up Kids have 9 new songs. They may come out as EPs or be a special vinyl only release. Tentative release date is next year.
The Get Up Kids are releasing a 10th anniversary live CD/DVD of Something To Write Home About on September 8th, the trailer for which you can view exclusively in the replies. The whole damn thing will be streaming on MySpace tomorrow as well.
During the "Where's The Band Tour?" tonight (Sunday January 25, 2009) in Cleveland, OH: Anthony Raneri told us Bayside will be playing the whole Vans Warped Tour 2009. Matt Pryor said The Get Up Kids will be playing festivals this Summer and will tour this Fall "if we don't kill each other." Doghouse Records is set to re-issue The Get Up Kids classic second full-length Something To Write Home About LP. The record will be released on February 17th, but you can pre-order the limited edition opaque purple vinyl pressing (only 2,000 made) now.
