Bird by Bird (Jonathan Devoto, formerly of The Matches' new band) has posted a new song, "Where Did You Go?" on myspace. The band has also made three acoustic demos available for free download on their Bandcamp account.
As The Matches play what could be their last shows this weekend, Oh No Not Stereo have prepared a little homage to the group in the form of an acoustic cover of "Yankee In A Chip Shop". Head to the band's AP.net Profile to stream or download it.
Never to let the announcement of an indefinite hiatus stop them, The Matches have announced their fourth album, the Matches album 4, unreleased; graphics? title? or not needed?. Maniac (Shawn Harris from The Matches' new band) has started a blog where they will record "(near) weekly" covers of whatever song is #1 on the charts.
An update regarding The Matches can be found in the replies. It details two side-projects, the band's new material, and their search for a new record label.
The flyer for the Music Saves Lives VIP Event featuring The Matches, Aiden, The Briggs, and Run Doris Run can be seen in the replies. The event will be held on April 30th at Key Club.
The Dialogue are busy with one-off tour dates during the month of May, including two dates with The Matches. Their EP, All I Thought Impossible, will be released May 5th on iTunes.
