The Scenic are now in the studio working on their new album with Mike Watts (As Tall As Lions, The Dear Hunter) and Steven Haigler (Brand New, Pixies, Quicksand). Tentative release is set for the fall.

Mandy K have recorded their new EP with producer Paul Leavitt (All Time Low, The Dangerous Summer) and will be playing a few shows with Sparks the Rescue and The Scenic. You can check out all of the band's tour dates in the replies.
The Scenic and Sparks the Rescue will be heading out on the "Get to the Choppa Tour" from January 16 to February 15. Most dates have been announced and can be seen in the replies, including dates in support of Cartel.
Update: The band is still on Victory and has not been dropped.
The Scenic is apparently no longer on Victory Records. Not only that, but release info for their album, Find Yourself Here, has been erased from the label's site as well.
Buffalo, NY’s Settings started tour yesterday with The Scenic and The Bigger Lights. Dates are available in the replies. The band’s MTV2 special starts tomorrow and runs throughout the end of the month. The band also won the Ernie Ball showcase at the Key Club last Thursday so they have been added to the 2009 Vans Warped tour. You can check out video blogs here.
The 12th Ernie Ball Vans Warped Tour Battle of the Bands showcase party will take place this Thursday, December 4th at the Key Club in Hollywood, California. Settings, Red Car Wire, From Aphony, and The Scenic will play live where one band will come away winning a $15,000 Guitar Center shopping spree. The Scenic have booked recording time with Matt Malpass (Copeland, Lydia, Rookie of the Year) in Atlanta to record a six song EP in May and June of this summer. To celebrate, they are giving away another one of their demos for free on Myspace - go download "Direction" for a limited time only.
The Scenic's (ex-Rory) debut EP is set for release in Japan on In N Out Records on April 16th and will include two bonus tracks; the EP is currently streaming in its entirety on purevolume.
