AFI have signed with Republic Records and are gearing up for the fall 2013 release of their ninth full-length studio album.
The Cali-based band recorded with producer Gil Norton (Pixies, Patti Smith, Foo Fighters) at East West Studios in Los Angeles. The record was mixed by Andrew Scheps (Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers). "We are thrilled to be joining the Republic family for the release of our ninth record,” says lead singer Davey Havok. “We've spent over two years realizing this album and could not be more excited to share it with all."
Hunter Burgan (AFI) will release his latest solo record, The Colors Of Summer under the name Las Gatas Beach Club. It'll be released on June 25th and can be pre-ordered here. You can also stream a song here.

Matt Skiba never seems to stop making music. When he has free time from Alkaline Trio, he keeps busy with one of several side projects. For his latest, dubbed Matt Skiba and The Sekrets, he recruited Jarrod Alexander of My Chemical Romance and Hunter Burgan of AFI. Alkaline Trio's Matt Skiba has announced another new project called Matt Skiba And The Sekrets. The group also has AFI's Hunter Burgan and My Chemical Romance's Jarrod Alexander, will release Babylon later this year.

Stellar Corpses will release Dead Stars Drive-In on January 24, 2012 via Santa Carla Records. The album was produced by Joe McGrath and will feature guest spots from Hunter Burgan and Jade Puget of AFI and Michale Graves (ex-Misfits).
