Check out another interview with Laura Jane Grace over on MTV. There is no such thing as too much Against Me! news.
“It was really reassuring just hearing how varied everyone’s end-definition of what gender means to them is,” Grace told MTV News. “Reassuring in my own way in still trying to figure that out. Having other people say it who are further along in their transition or further along in life — [who] just have more experience — hearing them be like, ‘Well, I don’t really know, I’m still kind of figuring it out,’ was like, ‘OK, you know, I’m in a good place.’”

Laura Jane Grace of Against Me! recently sat down for a video interview with Marc Lamont Hill for The Huffington Post.
"I started playing in a band when I was 19 years old and started touring heavily, and that swept up a big chunk of my life and it was really easy for me to compartmentalize certain parts of myself and not think about certain things," Grace said. "Then it all built to a boiling point where I had to address what I was going through in order to continue to survive as a person."

Laura Jane Grace talked with Exclaim about an upcoming Against Me! live album, book, and documentary.
"It's crazy, because at this point, having six studio albums and a bunch of EPs, there are almost a good hundred Against Me! songs," says Grace about the upcoming live album and their storied career. "To have the lineup we have right now and to feel really strong about the way we're playing and to see how those songs that we've been playing for a long time have evolved over however many years... The idea of taking the best of the best and putting together a solid 25- to 30-song record that can reintroduce some songs in their present form and really try to capture what happens when we're...

Win Butler of Arcade Fire and David Wilson (the director of "We Exist"), have discussed Against Me! frontwomen Laura Jane Grace's recent criticism of the video in an interview with The Advocate.
“Once something gets on the Internet, it works its way into people’s lives in a way that I think is pretty powerful. For a gay kid in Jamaica to see the actor who played Spider-Man in that role is pretty damn powerful, in my opinion. … There was just so much thought and love that went into the video I don’t personally see it as negative.”

Laura has also written some thoughts on Twitter to the article:
this article is hella problematic. To start with there's the fact that Win says "he" and...

Check out a video interview with Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace for MSNBC.
“I think that coming out has made me a lot better of a person. It’s made me less of a stressed out person because I don’t have to compartmentalize my life. And just realizing in a lot of ways that you shouldn’t underestimate people and that people will be there to support you and really can surprise you in life,” she said.

I was wondering if anyone was going to comment on this after we posted the video for Arcade Fire's "We Exist" -- but I never really saw anything pop-up. Then, this morning I saw this Tweet from Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace: "Dear arcadefire, maybe when making a video for a song called "We Exist" you should get an actual "Trans" actor instead of Spider-Man?"

Atom Willard, current drummer for Against Me!, sat down with our friends PunkNews.org and there's a lot of great new information in the interview.
There have been a couple times when I thought, "This is it!" Like with Angels and Airwaves, I thought it was the best thing. We had the greatest time and all got along, but circumstances changed when Tom [Delonge] started back up with Blink [182] again and the whole thing took a different turn. So it's all of those things that have motivated me to move on. I'm just an idealist, I guess.

When Against Me! came through Winnipeg on Tuesday I had the opportunity to interview Laura Jane Grace about the band's latest record Transgender Dysphoria Blues.
I feel confident saying we’re a better band than we’ve been before, live especially, which is important. I don’t want to feel like we’re starting to not be as good as we used to be.

Against Me! are already thinking about their next release.
The whole process of getting Transgender Dysphoria Blues out was so long and drawn out and we have a lot of ideas backed up behind it. We are flushing those out now a little, playing around at sound check and whenever we have the time and we are in the right vibe space to just sit around and jam together. The next record will be out a lot sooner in relative terms from White Crosses to this one.

Make sure to follow me at @RyanGardnerC on Twitter or Instagram for random thoughts and reviews during the day before I recap them. Today I’m planning to spend the afternoon alternating between the Topshelf Showcase and Equal Vision/Pure Noise showcase. I’m hopefully seeing The 1975 at the MTV Woodies tonight.
