Against Me!'s new album will be released next year.
Yes. It’s done. It’s mastered. We’re finishing artwork. It’s hard to keep in perspective that, “Okay, the time will go quick [before we release it].” There’s a part of me that’s just like, “Put it on the Internet now. Let’s go!” Because the recording process took so long, I feel like we’re those runners at the end of a marathon collapsing as they come across the finish line. Their legs are giving out underneath them, they’re vomiting everywhere, and they’re just wrecks.

She has asked anyone with any information on the stolen guitars to contact her via her twitter account.

We recently interviewed ex-Against Me! bassist Andrew Seward about this newest musical project, which happens to be a band called Human Parts. The group is officially releasing it's self-titled debut next week on September 10th.
When I parted ways with Against Me! I kind of started working all day and when I’d come home my whole goal was to not just become a sloth and play video games or stuff like that. I wanted to be a good father and partner and just be creative whenever I could. And that’s what I did, I just started focusing and using my spare time to record.

I’ve left AM!. No drama here. I reached a point where I need to focus on other things. Respect to Laura and James. The last 10 years ruled. -Andrew
It’s been an honor and privilege to stand on stage with Andrew for the past 10 years. I am sad to see him go, but I wish nothing but the best for him moving forward. – James
It’s heartbreaking to know that Andrew won’t be standing next to me out on stage the next time I stand upon one. I realize that at this point there’s a possibility that it may look pretty ridiculous to carry on playing under the name Against Me! If I didn’t feel like I had something that I really...

The Guardian recently sat down with Laura Jane Grace (Against Me!) for an in-depth interview.
From the ArticleIt's a feeling of great existential dread. Peripherally, being aware of the way you are in your body and feeling cognisant of the fact that I'm male – like looking down and seeing male features – and feeling, internally, 'but I'm not'. You feel a detachment, and you feel hyper-aware of everything that's around you. Then, at the same time, you feel extreme feelings of shame and guilt and confusion, so that all works into a nice little cocktail in your head.

Chuck Ragan from Hot Water Music was recently interviewed about Against Me!'s Laura Jane Grace.
From the InterviewIn all seriousness, I felt really honored to be a part of a community that was so open-minded supporting people doing things out of the norm, because when I was a kid, that’s what punk was all about. It was a mind-set, about you being exactly who you wanted to be, no matter what your school or your parents or the church said.

In case you didn't catch it from the news we posted about Tom Gabel's live debut as Laura Jane Grace at Against Me!'s show in San Diego, the band's new record will be called Transgender Dysphoria Blues. The group played six new songs at the show. In the Rolling Stone article about Laura's transformation, there was a mention that writing for this new record begun quite a while ago.
Thomas Nassiff on 05/27/12 - 10:34 AM
Against Me! singer-guitarist Tom Gabel made her live debut as Laura Jane Grace on Friday, performing with the band under her new name for the first time.
From the ArticleCharging through a 40-minute set at Humphreys Concerts by the Bay in San Diego – the first stop in a month-long U.S. tour with British rockers the Cult – the quartet played six new songs, including the rollicking anthem "Transgender Dysphoria Blues," the title track of an album they're working on. Decked out in a loose-fitting black tank top, tight black jeans and black eye shadow, Grace was in high spirits as she delivered her trademark, throat-shredding screams.

Today the new Rolling Stone hits shelves -- it's the one with the full article on Tom Gabel's recent news. Seeing as it's the first issue of the magazine I've actively wanted to seek out in years ... I figured I wouldn't be the only one. So, with that I'm opening up a thread here on the homepage for people that have picked up the magazine to talk about it, share thoughts, insights, and whatnot. As soon as I can get my ass to the store, I'll be joining in with my thoughts.
Jason Tate on 05/11/12 - 09:57 AM
Against Me! will continue to make music, as Tom Gabel undergoes her transition to Laura Jane Grace.
From the Article"However fierce our band was in the past, imagine me, six-foot-two, in heels, f---ing screaming into someone's face."
