My Chemical Romance will support Bon Jovi on October 25th and 26th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, in celebration of the site's recent construction. In response, vocalist Gerard Way states "to be asked to open for New Jersey's own Bon Jovi at the grand opening of the Prudential Centre is an amazing honour. It's more than anything a group of kids from the Garden State could ask for."

Minus the Bear have been selected as MTV's notorious Band of the Week. The station will feature interviews, performance footage, and more all week long in celebration of the grant. Sick City recently completed production on a music video for "Turning Heads," the first single from the band's forthcoming, full-length release, Nightlife, which is slated for release on September 25th courtesy of Trustkill Records. Gallows vocalist Frank Carter recently sustained a head injury during an "on-stage wrestling match" with a fan amidst the group's live performance in the United Kingdom. Carter, who is expected to make a full recovery, was admitted to hospital immediately following the show, which was cut short due to the injury. The group are currently touring in support of their latest release, Orchestra of Wolves, which is available now courtesy of Epitaph Records.

Chadam, the character who appeared on the artwork for The Used's latest release, Lies for the Liars, will reportedly star in his own internet cartoon series, in which Chadam "attempts to wish away the serial killer Viceroy, discovering the nature of himself along the way." Josh Wiseman, lead guitarist for The Pilot was the victim of an accident this weekend, and has suffered severe, undisclosed injuries, though he is expected to make a full recovery.
