All auction items for the Olamide Adeyooye Memorial Scholarship Fund are now up. Olamide was the girlfriend of Andy Wildrick (The Junior Varsity) who was brutally kidnapped and murdered in October of 2005. With the help of Illinois State University, the band has set up a memorial scholarship fund in Olamide's name to ensure that her memory lives on forever. We need to raise a few thousand more dollars to fully endow the scholarship so we asked some friends in the music industry for donations and the response was overwhelming. Fat Mike of NOFX and owner of Fat Wreck Chords is auctioning off his first guitar in order to raise money for Unite the United which will benefit Habitat for Humanity and United Way for the New Orleans area. In the press release Fat Mike had this to say: "It was my first guitar. I bought it from Lynn Strait, (singer from the band Snot), for $50 who actually stole it in the first place, so I bought a stolen guitar... I wrote all of Liberal Animation on it. It never toured since I don't play guitar on tour".
