U2 singer Bono has revealed that he thought he was going to be thrown out of the band over his campaigning against global poverty.

The star has said that at one stage he was concerned that his commitment to the cause may force him to quit the group.

Fan Reports In: "At last nights show at the Rave in Milwaukee, Gratitude announced that it was one of their last few shows. Jonah said something along the lines of "this is almost the end of a short yet great band." I'm assuming they'll finish out the tour and then that will be the end.
