Garbage will release their first album since 2005's Bleed Like Me this spring via their own label Stunvolume. The record will be produced by the band and mixed by Butch Vig.

Foo Fighters will be working on their 7th album with producer Butch Vig.

Butch Vig is auctioning his services off on ebay for pediatric cancer research. Other auctions, including having lunch with director Christopher Nolan on the set of his new movie, can be viewed here.

Butch Vig (producer) recently spoke with MTV.com about the new Jimmy Eat World album.

"It's quite eclectic. There's three or four songs that sound very much like Jimmy Eat World — jagged guitars, great lyrics and [singer Jim Adkins'] emotional voice. And then there's some things that are very dreamy and spacey," Vig said. "And then there's a couple songs where we went for, like, a Fleetwood Mac-style production, late-'70s studio sound, chimey guitars and a fat drum sound."
