Bassist Bradley Quinn Andress of the up-and-coming rock band Close To Home was recently diagnosed with a deadly form of cancer while on tour with his band across the U.S. Andress, 20, was told he would die when flu-like symptoms brought him into a hospital after a show and it was discovered he had a seven-inch tumor on one of his lungs. MessageI know how hard this year has been for the entire music industry. With the diagnosis of Drive Thru Record's Something Corporate vocalist, Andrew McMahon, the entire music industry has united under one cause: of fighting cancer. As I sit here listening to the new Jack's Mannequin CD, I cannot help but admire the strength inherent in Andrew's character, and I cannot stop the memories that his troubles bring.
