Carly Rae Jepsen spoke with Cosmopolitan about the upcoming Grease: Live, and during the interview they talked about a follow-up album to Emotion.
What kind of stuff is inspiring you as you work on new material?
"I'm scared to say out loud and have it in print because I know how much my mind changes through the process. Even where I started with Emotion [versus] where I ended up were completely different places, so right now I can tell you what I'm experimenting with but there's no guarantee that that's what will be on the album. I've been really into this subtle sort of disco. I'm enjoying the combination of ABBA meets Feist. I know that sounds insane, but trust me!"

In an interview with Billboard, Carly Rae Jepsen talks about never having another huge "Call Me Maybe" type single.
Another "Maybe" may never present itself, but Jepsen doesn't mind. Meeting expectations is no longer on her agenda. " 'Call Me Maybe' was such a gift, but I don't need that to happen again," she says. "I wanted to be brave and [record] music that was really me rather than just putting out what I thought would sell. I would've regretted more not doing what I did -- *making a passion project come to life."

Along with that TMZ is reporting Owl City made over a half-million in royalties on that song. (We reached out to Ally and she declined to comment on the situation. - Thomas Nassiff)
Today, attorneys for Owl City -- real name Adam Young -- filed a proposal in Federal Court that would award him $525,901.77 in disputed ASCAP royalties for the song.
