Head to the replies to check out "Procellous," and let it hold you over until hearing the rest of one of instrumental-rock's best albums since Empros and All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone. You know what's a good way to impress boys and/or girls that matter? You can show them your sick vinyl collection! So to help y'all in that department, we have set up a Valentine's Day contest with The Mylene Sheath to give away a copy of Caspian's Tertia 2xLP vinyl on gold that the label just put out. Now wipe that drool, and enter the contest by following @Mylene_Sheath, @Caspian_ and @absolutepunk, and retweeting this little tweet. When you're done, show us proof of all this in the replies and you'll be good to go. Good luck!

I recently spoke with Philip Jamieson of post-rock heavyweights Caspian about touring, the post-rock scene, and upcoming material. Check it out here.
From The InterviewI've always been a huge fan of Kranky and Matador. They're probably my two favorite labels of all time. My first 'crush' on an indie label was with Constellation (Montreal) around 2002. They set the standard for the way I view labels and the business of releasing music and interacting with their customers. For the next Caspian album we'll be putting it out there to see who bites like we always have.

After a taking a long break from interviews, it makes sense for one of my first to be with one of the best bands out there - Caspian. If you head over to the interviews section, you can read my chat with them here.
From The InterviewTertia is an attempt to celebrate many, many different emotions - often very different and conflicting ones. Desperation, anxiety, yearning, adventure, frustration, contentment, clarity... Very scattered and all over the place. This was the case back with "The Four Trees" as well but it seemed more obvious for us to be running the gamut of emotion back then when the band is young and eager to bust out of the starting gate with fresh energy. Emotions are...

Caspian's newest release, Tertia, was without a doubt one of the most anticipated albums of the year on our site. Since we have all had the album for a while now, it would be nice to know what went on behind the scenes and what inspired the band while they were recording. So if you would like to ask a few questions of your own, make sure to leave them in the replies and I will try my best to include them in my interview.
