"There are songs about someone cheating or being [cheated on]. These are things I've never gone through personally, but as an artist, I want people to relate.
According to the no-last-name writer "Adam" and "a source," Miranda Lambert has told her husband Blake Shelton to "keep away" from Cassadee Pope. I'm sorry, but I'm calling bullshit on this entire article -- the wording, the lack of any real detail, and it just being stupid. Furthermore, I've got "a source" that says it's all bullshit and I really just wanted a reason to vent after a shitty day. You can skip over this news post. It won't hurt my feelings.
Drew wrote about basically hanging out with Cassadee Pope all night at the Fall Out Boy show and not realizing it was her (could he be more of a rockstar now?). Anyway, the video of her singing "Sugar We're Going Down" can be found in the replies.
Cassadee Pope will perform a duet with Avril Lavigne on the Season 3 finale of The Voice. This should start a new Kevin Bacon like game to connect everyone in music to Nickelback.
Cassadee Pope's performance from tonight's episode of The Voice can be seen in the replies. The song can also be purchased on iTunes where it's currently sitting at #1 on the charts.
Got a quick update from Ryan Key from Yellowcard about the guest-vocals on the new album. Basically, the guest vocals are part of a huge group four-part harmony in the bridge of a new song. It includes Ryan, Alex from All Time Low, Cassadee Pope, and Tay from We Are The In Crowd. It's a four part harmony in the bridge, not lead vocals. Having spent some time with the band throughout the years, I feel relatively confident in saying this is the most excited I've ever heard them about a new batch of songs.
I still haven't forgiven her for the I See Stars appearance, but Cassadee Pope can be found playing a new tune "Secondhand Love," acoustic, in the replies.
We've posted a few times about how Cassadee Pope, formerly of Hey Monday, has started a solo career. She posted up her first song the other day, a cover of "Torn," and we recently had a chance to ask her a few questions about the new project, and her goals going forward. We tried to pick some questions that you guys would want to know. You can check out the answers here.
