Chris Walla has announced his new solo album, called Tape Loops. The record, which is entirely instrumental, will release on October 16th through his label Trans Records. Check out the album art in the replies and you can hear a new song called "Kanta's Theme" here.

Sombear (side project of Bradley Hale from Now, Now) has signed to TRANS- Records and will be releasing a split 7" with Chris Walla (Death Cab For Cutie) on Record Store day (limited to 100 copies). You can listen to the tracks from the 7" over at Stereogum.

The Lonely Forest has announced a string of dates supporting The Joy Formidable, which you can check out in the replies. The Lonely Forest's new full-length, Arrows, will be released on March 22 via Chris Walla's new label, Trans Records.
