City Sleeps and Warner Brothers/Maverick have parted ways; below is a message from the band:
MessageWe appreciate your patience, love, and support in waiting on the City Sleeps album release. Finally we have an update for you. It may sound like a setback or delay, and as frustrating as it may seem, we assure you that this is a step in the right direction for City Sleeps. Recently Maverick Records shut down and was absorbed into Warner Bros. So WB and City Sleeps have parted ways and we're in the process of finding a new home for CS. This has been a long and slow process that has kept our album out of the stores and out of your hands for a year now. We know you are all tired of waiting....

Message"On July 9th at the Warped Tour in Fresno, CA the lead singer from Motion City Soundtrack boldly stated (while wearing a Silverstein t-shirt) that they would by handling the situation with Silverstein out by the buses after the show.

During Silverstein's set, the band brought out a guy in a hat and sunglasses and said he was there to speak to the crowd about the internet. The disguised man asked if anyone had heard about the feud between Silverstein and Motion 'Shitty' Soundtrack and then made a joke about MCS re-releasing their album. The crowd went crazy cheering...

Although we do appreciate the support and interest that so many of you have shown, we are NOT looking for a drummer or a bassist. New songs will be up August 1st. see you all soon,

Motion City Soundtrack will be releasing the deluxe edition of Commit This To Memory on Tuesday, June 20th. This release includes: the album, Hooray For The Madness DVD (which includes live concert footage from a recent show at 7th Street Entry in Minneapolis and a documentary about the band), an exclusive video for "L.G. FUAD," and a previously unreleased song, "Invisible Monsters." I had the pleasure of watching the DVD last night and it's extremely well-done, a must for hardcore fans and those of you who just enjoy a good band DVD here and there.
