Coldplay announced plans to release all 14 of their singles in a box-set package. The collection is due out on March 26th and is entitled The Singles 1999-2006. Each single will be pressed on heavyweight 7-inch vinyl; this will not be available on CD. The tracklisting includes the extremely rare Blue Room EP. In other news, the band is about to begin work on the follow-up to 2005's X&Y with producer Brian Eno.

Coldplay will be headlining the Isle of Wight festival on Sunday, June 11th -- this wil be their only UK show this summer. The band has just released a limited edition 12" version of "Talk" combining all the mixes currently available. Coldplay are putting together a concert DVD by putting cameras in the hands of fans and asking them to film a two-night stand in Canada - March 22 and 23 in Toronto’s Air Center. Fans can enter a sweepstakes by watching Entertainment Tonight Canada then logging onto a website and answering questions.

Coldplay's newest release, X & Y, comes with an insert that discloses all the rules enforced by the DRM they included on the disc. Of course, these rules are only visible after you've paid for the CD and brought it home, and as the disc's rules say, "Except for manufacturing problems, we do not accept product exchange, return or refund," so if you don't like the rules, that's tough. "Talk" will be the fourth single from Coldplay's latest album, X&Y, to be released. The single will be available on Monday, December 19th as a two-track CD, a DVD and 7", and will include a new song, "Sleeping Sun."
