Craig Owens released new music for a 2-song album called the Las Vegas Sessions. It's up on bandcamp.
In 2015 I went on a personal journey of sorts. Getting as lost as I possibly could in hopes of finding myself. I toured the United States in a rental car, playing your living rooms & driving hours upon hours in unfamiliar places - re-examining pieces of myself I had forgotten about. Desperately searching for a way to fall back in love with the love of my life, music. Years of obsession had left me lacking passion, and the voices in my head had silenced all confidence… but I found myself still breathing.
Today, we're exclusively streaming the brand new album from Before Their Eyes, Midwest Modesty, out 12/18 via InVogue Records. The record was co-written and produced by Craig Owens (Chiodos, D.R.U.G.S.), establishing itself to be one of the best post-hardcore records of the waning months of the year. The band has really come a long way in the last decade, and if you're a fan of the genre, you should find it absolutely necessary to give this album a chance. On a personal note, I'd recommend the track "The Positive and Negative Of Being Alone". If you like what you hear, you can pick it up here.
Hit the replies to watch an exclusive tour diary video from Chiodos. Chiodos will kick off their co-headline "The Crowd Surf America" tour with BlessTheFall and special guests I Killed The Prom Queen and Capture The Crown on July 25th in Oklahoma City, OK. More information about upcoming tours be found in the replies with the video.
Craig Owens will be doing four solo acoustic nights in Texas. Dates in the replies.
On The 4 Nights In Texas tour, you can expect an even mixture of songs from my entire catalogue. Songs from Chiodos, DRUGS, Cinematic Sunrise, my solo ep, covers, and a few other fun surprises. My friend Peter Tsouras from the band Fairweather will be joining me on all four of the Texas dates. I'm really stoked on this, because Peter and his work with Fairweather helped shape me as a musician. I remember seeing them play in Flint, MI at my hometown venue, and saying "I'm going to do that one day." The fact that he'll be sharing the stage with me shows you just how full circle life really is.
A few new dates have been added to Craig Owens' An Evening with Craig Owens & Friends tour. You can find the updated routing the replies. His Chiodos bandmate Bradley Bell will be accompanying him on stage.
In light of certain rumorsthis week, one of our staff members sat down with Craig Owens to talk about a lot of the hearsay that's been going around the Internet about a possible return to front Chiodos once again. Head to the replies to watch the exclusive video interview.
EDIT: Happy April Fool's Day everyone. Until next year, keep in good spirits!
