While performing at SUNY Purchase College for the Culture Shock 2008 festival on Saturday night, lead singer Tim Kasher announced that Cursive would be heading into the studio next month to record the follow up to their 2006 effort, Happy Hollow.

Magnetic Fields, the Gutter Twins, Mountain Goats, and Cursive have been announced to play next year's Noise Pop festival in San Francisco which will take place between Feb. 26 - March 2.

Cursive has released a vinyl single for "Bad Sects" featuring a fan-made remix. The artwork for the single can be seen in the replies.
Details Following the release of their 2006 opus Happy Hollow,Cursive launched a remix site which allowed users to register and download separated tracks for the album track "Bad Sects." Remixers submitted their rearranged visions and versions to Saddle Creek for the Bad Sects Remix Contest. Cursive listened to all the remixes, posted some of their favorites on the site and chose the winning remix to be used as a B-side on a future Cursive single.

Drummer Clint Schnase has left Cursive. Cornbread Compton will be his replacement.
BulletinCursive regrets to announce the retirement of Clinton Frederick Schnase IV from the band. After years on the road Clint has decided to spend more time at home in Omaha, NE with his happy family of Whippets. Clint has been a lover of Whippets and worked with them for a number of years. He feels it is his spiritual calling, "You can see your future (or whatever) in their eyes."

Message From The BandWe need Extras (also known as unpaid actors) for the filming of our new video this Saturday. From 10am to 5pm at 32nd and Harney - The place is Called "A Merry Occasion Wedding Chapel." Everyone should dress in white as if they are going to church. We should note there will not be a band performance this is all the narrative part of the shoot.

Cursive will be heading into the studio this month to begin demoing for their upcoming album. Following the demos, the band will offically begin recording their new album with a completion date of May 1st.
