I think this was kind of known for a while, but Jonezetta have signed to Tooth And Nail. They have officially begun recording their debut ful length with producer Steve Wilson.

Because an album a year isn't enough for a member of Franz Ferdinand, he'll unveil a side project next month. Franz Ferdinand guitarist Nick McCarthy’s side project, Box Codax, will drop its debut single into British stores next month. Box Codax features the Franz guitarist and his wife, Manuela, moving away from the art-punk of McCarthy’s full-time band to explore synth-based pop. The Casual Lean has decided to release their debut album, Swears, without label support, and they need your help! They have set a goal of 300 copies to reach over the next couple months in order to have the record out sometime in February or March. The sooner they sell 300 copies, the sooner the record will be pressed and shipped. This is a bold move on their part and all help is greatly appreciated. The cost is $10.00 per CD and $2.00 if shipping and handling is necessary.

The GetAway Drive (Long Island) is finishing vocals on their upcoming debut full length. The album is rumored to be underneath Sony Records, or at least some portion of that label. Details in the coming weeks.
