Dessa's new album Castor, The Twin has been one of our most anticipated of the year, so we decided to sit down and ask her a couple of questions about it. Check out Part I of the interview here, which focuses on her solo work, and help get the record to #1 on the iTunes hip-hop chart.
Dessa has a new album coming out, Castor, The Twin, next Tuesday, so I will be interviewing her about the upcoming release and Doomtree among other things. If you have any questions for her, please leave them in the replies. And if you haven't pre-ordered the new album yet, then do so now because you will also get a limited edition book with your order.
Mike Mictlan of Doomtree has a previously unreleased track, "Cogs + Flywheels," up for download on bandcamp. Also, according to the The Hideaway Studio, where Dessa and Doomtree are recording their new albums, the new Dessa album will be, "a live band redo of here critically acclaimed record A Badly Broken Code, with a whole new organic twist on some of her great tracks, plus some new songs as well."
