Whispering Spirits tells the story of Justin Veatch, a talented musician who died of a drug overdose at the age of seventeen. The film follows Jeffrey, Justin's father, as his family grapples with their devastating loss while reconnecting with him through the music he left behind.

Last night I watched A Joyful Slog. It's a documentary about Ireland's DIY scene over the years. The hour long documentary contains interviews with Ireland's underground bands and labels, including The Jimmy Cake, And So I Watch You From Afar and Adebisi Shank. You can watch the entire documentary in the replies. Definitely worth your time to see into another country's budding underground music scene.

Senses Fail are planning a ten year anniversary celebration next year including a tour where they will play both their first EP and first album. The band will also be pressing their early work on vinyl and will be releasing a documentary.

EDIT: After speaking with one of the members of Senses Fail, this is not a confirmed plan for the band.

One Nine Nine Four, the documentary about '90s punk rock that has been in the works for a while, is almost finished - the only thing the filmmakers need is funding to finish off the music clearances. The Years Gone By will be posting the first installment of a four-part miniseries documentary this Wednesday. The band will also premiere the first full song from their upcoming EP, Something You Know Nothing About, which is set to be self-released October 6th.
