Jack's Mannequin have announced a new DVD/CD of their final show entitled, Live From The El Ray. The release features 14 tracks from band's last performance from last November. All proceeds are going to Andrew's Dear Jack Foundation. The release date is June 25th, but you can pre-order it on Andrew's webstore. Eagle Vision will release "Live in L.A.," a concert film of his March 2 performance at Hollywood High. His night in the unexpected venue featured a monologue from Russell Brand and hits including "Everyday is Like Sunday" and Smiths classics such as "Meat is Murder" and "Please, Please Please Let Me Get What I Want."
We recently reached out to the directors of the documentary, The Other F-Word (which I found to be fantastic) to get some insight on the film. While we're working on putting all the answers together, I thought it would be worth posting the answer to one of the most common questions I've heard: will there be a DVD release?
The Graduatehave a kickstarter up for helping put together their "farewell DVD." They have already reached their goal; however, after talking with Corey -- they really want to make this thing amazing and go all out - so they're looking to raise as much as they can.
Less Than Jake will release Anthology, a four disc DVD collection featuring performances of Pezcore, Losing Streak, Hello Rockview, Borders & Boundaries, Anthem, and In With the Out Crowd and featuring a fourth disc of bonus videos. Less Than Jake will release a DVD digipack entitled Anthology on June 21 via Sleep It Off Records. Three discs will feature the band performing their first six albums in their entirety live, while the final DVD includes footage spanning the band's touring career. Press release in the replies.
The out-of-print documentary by Don Letts, Punk: Attitude, is being re-released on January 11th. The documentary focuses on the 1970's culture movement, the bands involved and the people it influenced, including interviews with the likes of Mick Jones (The Clash), Siouxsie Sioux (Siouxsie and The Banshees), Thurston Moore (Sonic Youth), Henry Rollins (Black Flag) and more.
On September 7, Thrill Jockey will release 77 Boa Drum, a DVD of the 77-drummer concert orchestrated by Japanese group Boredoms. The event is documented along with behind-the-scenes rehearsal footage and interviews, and comes with a series of photo postcards not available in the Japanese edition.
