Max Bemis and his wife, Sherri Dupree-Bemis, have a side project named Perma. They are planning to record an album early next year, and Max said to expect something "more delicate" than Say Anything.
From the InterviewMax: Great, it’s awesome! She’s (Sherri Dupree-Bemis) busy making a new Eisley record and I’m busy too. When we’re both finished touring we’ll bunker down and write a record. The goal is to to record something at the beginning of next year.
AltSounds: What kind of sound can we expect from Perma?
Max: It’s going to be more delicate than anything Say Anything has ever done. It’s based on writing songs about my wife! I mean there’s some of the delicacy in Say Anything...

At this point, we've all decided to listen to Max Bemis through thick and thin, in sickness and in health. For nearly ten years, the Say Anything mastermind has won over fans through all kinds of sounds, and will do it again with the release of Anarchy, My Dear on March 13th via Equal Vision Records. I had the chance to chat with Max, where we talked about the new record, "Admit It Again," ...Is A Real Boy, Perma (his band with wife Sherri Dupree-Bemis), and the future in general. You can read the feature right here.

I had always been a casual fan of Eisley. I enjoyed their first two full length albums, Room Noises and Combinations (both released on Reprise Records), but I never went crazy for them. After moderate success with those two albums (both debuted in the Billboard 200), they became free agents and signed with Equal Vision. This got my attention as Equal Vision has always been one of my favorite labels and Eisley was definitely a lot more indie and whimsical than the hardcore and punk heavy roster on EVR. In late 2010, I was sent an advance of their upcoming 2011 EVR debut The Valley and everything changed. I was immediately hooked as songs like "Smarter," "Watch It Die," and the title...
